What is Extra Tax on invoices?
Extra tax is an additional sales tax applied to certain specified goods or categories of supply. Where it applies, it is shown on the invoice separately and reported to FBR with the other taxes.
Key points
- It applies only to specific goods or categories defined in the sales tax rules.
- It is separate from standard sales tax and further tax.
- It appears as its own line on the invoice where relevant.
- It must be reported accurately as part of digital invoicing.
